God's Work. Our Hands
Please join us as a congregation and celebrate the opportunity to serve our neighbors. Freed in Christ to serve and love all. Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans. The ELCA says the following.
That all of life in Jesus Christ - every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life - flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God's grace. This year Creator will be collecting items of need for both Father's Heart and the Clackamas Veterans Village. The needs are very different as are the locations and needs of those served. Father's heart is asking for the following items. As of today they are completely out of Mens large and extra large T shirts. These may be gently used or new. They are in need of brushes and combs. Mens large underwear (colored boxer briefs). Steve with Clackamas Veterans Village has asked for the following items. TP, Paper towels, Bleach, Dish soap and Laundry soap. Posters are in the Narthex and tubs that we can put donations in. Please bring your donations for the service project the next two Sundays (Sept 4th and Sept 11th). Our support for these community services has been very giving. Please extend your hands this year. Contact the office or Chris Heard for additional questions you have |
