Welcome to the website of Creator Lutheran Church! Please take some time to read about what to expect as a first-time visitor and check out the programs and outreach activities at Creator. Then come get to know Creator better and join the community some Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for worship, communion, fellowship and education.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Sunday morning begins with Creator Praise songs at 8:50 a.m. as people are arriving, with Worship starting at 9:00 a.m. Worship is about 1 hour.
During the school year Sunday School for children ages 3 through 5th grade follows the Children's sermon, when the children leave the sanctuary for a Sunday School lesson and craft, returning before communion so they may commune with their families.
Worship is followed by a fellowship time with cookies and coffee.
During the school year, adults meet for an education time from 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. following coffee time.
Parking is located on the south side of the building, accessed from SE 132nd Avenue.
Handicapped parking is available and the building is handicapped accessible.
Informal dress is the norm on Sunday mornings.
Expect a warm welcome as you enter for worship. You will receive a worship bulletin from the ushers. This will help guide you through the worship service. It will also include copies of the Parish News with upcoming events, a worship card and an offering envelope. If you are new to Creator, please fill out the worship card and place it in the offering plate. Don’t be afraid to ask questions of those around you. Creator is a Reconciling in Christ congregation.
Creator Lutheran Church is a member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We worship in a liturgical setting. This means that the worship form is similar week to week. The music for the setting, however, varies weekly. This provides a rich worship experience.
Communion is available each week at Creator to ALL BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS. Younger children who have not yet been confirmed are not excluded from communion. Inclusion of those children is left up to parental discretion. Anyone not communing is encouraged to come forward with hands crossed to receive a blessing.
Children are welcome in worship, always. If parents of young children (4 years and younger) wish for a little break, there is nursery care available. Parents may get their children from the nursery during communion if they wish.
Please call the church office, 503-698-8081 if you have any questions.
